Wildfire risk intelligence for Southern Europe

Evidence that keeps solar assets insurable.

Insurers now price wildfire mitigation evidence, or exclude wildfire altogether. We turn satellite data into the quarterly proof your underwriter wants.

How it works

Three steps to documented risk

01

Submit your site location

Coordinates or address, installed capacity and your insurance renewal month. Two minutes, no site visit, no hardware.

02

We analyse the satellite record

Vegetation and fuel load, ten years of fire history and dryness trends are derived from Copernicus Sentinel and EFFIS open data around your perimeter.

03

You receive a quarterly PDF

An underwriter-ready report with a documented methodology annex, delivered every quarter and archived on your private report page.

What is in the report

Five sections your broker can forward as-is

View the sample deliverable

Fuel-load index around the perimeter

Vegetation density and biomass estimates in defined buffer rings around the fence line, tracked against the previous quarter.

Firebreak status

Observed width and continuity of cleared ground along the perimeter, with the segments where clearance has degraded since the last observation.

10-year fire-history map

Recorded burnt-area perimeters within the surrounding radius from the EFFIS archive, with distance and year for each event.

Dryness trend

Seasonal moisture and drought indicators for the site's grid cell, shown as a multi-year trend rather than a single snapshot.

Mitigation checklist

The concrete actions observed and outstanding (clearance, access routes, vegetation management) in the format brokers can hand to an underwriter.

Why now

The 2026 renewal cycle asks for evidence

Wildfire is being underwritten more explicitly across EU property programmes. Depending on the insurer and the region, that shows up as separate wildfire sub-limits, higher deductibles, mitigation warranties written into the policy, or wildfire exclusions for exposed locations.

Where mitigation warranties apply, the burden of proof sits with the operator: the clearance and vegetation management you already perform has to be documented in a form the underwriter can read at renewal, not described in a phone call.

Southern European solar assets are frequently sited on scrub and former agricultural land, where fuel accumulates between maintenance cycles. A quarterly, dated, source-referenced record of perimeter condition is the simplest way to show what changed and what was done about it.

We make no claim about how any specific insurer will treat your site. We produce the evidence; your broker runs the negotiation.

What a renewal file typically needs

  • Dated observation of perimeter vegetation and fuel load
  • Evidence that firebreaks exist and are maintained
  • Historical fire exposure of the surrounding area
  • A repeatable method, not a one-off assessment
  • Documentation the broker can attach to the submission
